Visualizing Wikipedia Topics
Wikipedia is a treasure house of data, and after attending the Wikipedia Data Challenge in 2017, I never got back to seeing any of the projects proposed to its completion. I opened the notes for the challenge tonight and one topic caught my eye - visualizing the topics of Wikipedia articles as a scatterplot. Working with Cases data at work, this piqued my interest as I can use two things of interest to me in this project - NLP & visualization (hopefully through d3? It’d be awesome). December is a good down time to be attempting this - let’s see how far I can take it. Better than Netflixing anyway.
