This is the section that is the most daunting for me. How do I talk about myself? Through my profession, hobbies or my background? I've almost never found a satisfactory answer to these questions, but here's one of my attempts.

I was born in India on April 28th in a small town called Baripada to my parents. One of my uncles, who is a scientist, named me after the star Proxima centauri (this is cool, but this set me up for a lifetime of proxy jokes).

Thanks to my dad's job which required him to move to a new place every x years, I got to live in different cities and towns in India. I changed tons of schools in the process, made a lot of friends and ate some amazing food in the process. I went to a school in Odisha for my undergraduate degree, and then moving to Hyderabad for my first job with Deloitte.

I moved to the Bay Area for my graduate degree, and have lived here ever since.
